Pseudomonas campi sp. nov., a nitrate-reducing bacterium isolated from grassland soil

A novel strain was isolated from grassland soil that has the potential to assimilate ammonium by reduction of nitrate in presence oxygen. Whole genome sequence analysis revealed an assimilatory cytoplasmic reductase gene nasA and nitrite genes nirBD which are involved sequential further ammonium, respectively. Phylogenetic based on 16S rRNA sequences isolate represents a member genus Pseudomonas . The closest phylogenetic neighbours type strains peli (98.17%) guineae (98.03%). In contrast, phylogenomic close relationship alcaligenes Computation average nucleotide identity (ANI) digital DNA–DNA hybridization (dDDH) with S1-A32-2 T genetic differences at species level, were substantiated several physiological characteristics. On basis these results, it concluded Pseudomonas, for name campi sp. nov. (type =LMG 31521 =DSM 110222 ) is proposed.
